Description
The VULKAN LabLine L15 LL is a single-stage in-line pipeline pressure regulator from the LabLine high-purity range, designed for low-pressure laboratory gas distribution where the outlet requirement is 0–1.5 bar. Applications include acetylene-class low-pressure distribution networks, specialty analytical gas feeds and process lines where downstream pressure must be held in the lower working range. The chrome-plated brass body is produced with vibratory finishing cleaning to below 100 mg/m² surface fat content, making it compatible with high-purity gas grades up to 5.0.
The L15 LL is rated for 20 bar inlet pressure and provides up to 8 Nm³/h flow at 1.5 bar outlet. The stainless steel diaphragm and clamp ring 8 mm connections on both inlet and outlet minimize contamination across the wetted path. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof assembly, and safety gauges are specified to ISO 5171 for compliant pressure indication.
The LabLine range is designed and manufactured to DIN, EN and ISO standards and satisfies the requirements of the PED and DGUV. This provides a traceable and compliant product basis for laboratory gas infrastructure projects where regulator specification and material documentation form part of the validation process.
The L15 LL integrates with the Vulkan LabLine Alu-Line 3/8 tapping point bar and compatible clamp ring 8 mm tapping point regulators, enabling complete low-pressure laboratory pipeline systems from the central distribution point to individual workstations.
Key Advantages
- Low-pressure range 0–1.5 bar suited to specialty analytical and process gas distribution.
- Chrome-plated brass body with vibratory finishing for fat content below 100 mg/m².
- Stainless steel diaphragm supports high-purity gas service up to grade 5.0.
- Clamp ring 8 mm connections for clean, low-contamination laboratory piping.
- Helium-leak-proof construction; safety gauges to ISO 5171.
Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning
This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
