Description
The VULKAN LabLine L40 LL is a single-stage in-line pipeline pressure regulator from the LabLine high-purity range, designed for laboratory and laser gas distribution systems that operate at higher outlet pressure levels. Where compact regulators in the L10 or L20 class cover standard laboratory tapping point feeds, the L40 LL is positioned for branch circuits, process feeds or equipment connections that require higher downstream pressure at consistent quality. The chrome-plated brass body is produced with vibratory finishing to below 100 mg/m² surface fat content and supports gas grades up to 5.0.
The stainless steel diaphragm and clamp ring 8 mm connections on both inlet and outlet minimize contamination risk across the wetted path. Safety gauges are to ISO 5171. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof construction. For oxygen service, the stainless steel diaphragm execution provides the material compatibility required for oxidizing media.
The LabLine range is manufactured to DIN, EN and ISO standards and meets PED and DGUV requirements, providing a documented compliance and traceability basis for laboratory gas infrastructure projects where higher working pressures and high-purity standards must be maintained simultaneously.
The L40 LL is compatible with the Vulkan LabLine system architecture and can be integrated into piping networks alongside other LabLine in-line regulators, tapping point regulators and Alu-Line 3/8 distribution bars for complete high-purity laboratory gas infrastructure.
Key Advantages
- Higher outlet pressure range addresses laboratory and process circuits beyond standard tapping point pressure.
- Chrome-plated brass body with vibratory finishing for surface fat content below 100 mg/m².
- Stainless steel diaphragm for oxygen-compatible and high-purity gas service up to grade 5.0.
- Clamp ring 8 mm connections for clean laboratory piping integration.
- Helium-leak-proof construction with 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s leakage rate; gauges to ISO 5171.
Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning
This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
