AM 35/300 KHM Effect Electronically Assisted Automatic Changeover Manifold

The VULKAN Modula AM 35/300 KHM Effect is the fixed-pressure electronically assisted version of the KM concept. It is supplied without an in-line regulator and factory pre-adjusted to 20 bar.

Description

The VULKAN Modula AM 35/300 KHM Effect combines automatic source switching with signal-capable, actuator-capable manifold architecture for users who need a defined outlet pressure and a cleaner control layer. The catalog specifies 300 bar inlet pressure, 20 bar outlet pressure and up to 75 Nm³/h flow. It is suitable for oxygen, inert gases and fuel gases except acetylene.

The KM and KHM architecture adds normally closed 24 V AC solenoid valves and Reed-switch contact gauges. This creates defined actuation points and signal points that can be integrated into PLC logic, HMI visualization, remote alarm chains and plant monitoring. The result is not decorative automation language but a practical gas-supply node that fits connected production environments and Industry 4.0-oriented plant architecture.

Commercially, this model solves two problems at once: uninterrupted switching and system integration. It gives the plant a fixed-pressure manifold concept while preserving the ability to connect switching status and valve logic into higher-level automation.

Key Advantages

  • Factory pre-adjusted 20 bar outlet pressure simplifies downstream design.
  • Electronically assisted switching improves control compared with purely pneumatic logic.
  • Reed-switch and solenoid architecture enables PLC and remote alarm integration.
  • Suitable for oxygen, inert gases and fuel gases except acetylene.
  • Strong stepping stone from classical gas hardware to monitored gas infrastructure.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This manifold can be positioned for food-gas projects when it is ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
