Vulkan Line In-line Pressure Regulator for Technical Gases LHR 1/45

The Vulkan LHR 1/45 is a single-stage in-line pressure regulator for technical gas pipeline systems requiring very low outlet pressure in the 5–45 mbar range. It is designed for low-pressure gas distribution, burner supply lines and specialty process gas applications, with an aluminium body, PTFE diaphragm and G 3/4 RH outlet connection. Supplied without gauge as standard; gauge optionally available at extra charge.

Description

The Vulkan LHR 1/45 is a single-stage in-line pressure regulator for technical gas pipelines where the downstream working pressure must be held in the millibar range. With a 6 bar inlet rating and 5–45 mbar adjustable outlet pressure, it covers low-pressure gas distribution headers, gas burner supply lines, specialty laboratory process feeds and other installations where the required outlet pressure is well below 1 bar and stable, repeatable pressure setting is the primary requirement.

The aluminium body with PTFE diaphragm and NBR seals is the documented standard construction. The G 1/2 RH inlet and G 3/4 RH outlet connections allow direct integration into standard low-pressure pipeline fittings on both sides. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof construction throughout the operating range. The compact dimensions of 160 × 180 × 160 mm at 2.0 kg make the LHR 1/45 suitable for wall mounting and panel installation in space-constrained gas rooms.

The regulator is supplied without a pressure gauge as standard. An optional gauge is available at extra charge for installations where local pressure indication is required. This allows the LHR 1/45 to be specified for both bare pipeline integration where existing instrumentation monitors pipeline pressure, and for stand-alone installations where on-unit visibility is needed.

The LHR 1/45 is part of the Vulkan LHR series of aluminium in-line low-pressure regulators. The series covers three mbar outlet classes — LHR 1/45 (5–45 mbar), LHR 1/200 (20–200 mbar) and LHR 1/700 (150–700 mbar) — all sharing the same aluminium body, PTFE diaphragm and connection standard. This gives system designers a consistent product family for the full low-pressure mbar distribution range.

Key Advantages

  • 5–45 mbar outlet range for burner supply, low-pressure process gas and specialty sub-bar laboratory distribution.
  • Aluminium body with PTFE diaphragm — lightweight, corrosion-resistant construction for low-pressure service.
  • G 1/2 RH inlet and G 3/4 RH outlet for standard low-pressure pipeline integration.
  • Compact footprint: 160 × 180 × 160 mm, 2.0 kg — suitable for panel and wall mounting.
  • Helium-leak-proof with leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s.
  • Gauge optionally available — configurable for instrumented and bare pipeline installations.
  • Part of the Vulkan LHR series covering 5 mbar to 700 mbar outlet classes in one product family.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
