Vulkan Line In-line Pressure Regulator for Technical Gases LP 216 -0.6

The Vulkan LP 216-0.6 is a single-stage precision in-line pressure regulator for technical gas pipeline systems requiring very low outlet pressure adjustment from 0.01 to 0.6 bar. With an aluminium/zinc die-cast body and NBR diaphragm, it is designed for precise low-pressure gas delivery in analytical, laboratory and specialty process applications from 21 bar pipeline inlet pressure.

Description

The Vulkan LP 216-0.6 is a single-stage precision in-line pressure regulator designed for technical gas pipeline systems where the downstream process requires very low outlet pressure in the range of 0.01–0.6 bar. Applications include low-pressure analytical gas supply, calibration gas delivery, specialty laboratory instrument feeds and process gas circuits where the working pressure is well below 1 bar and precise, stable pressure setting is required.

The aluminium zinc die-cast body with NBR diaphragm and G 3/8 RH connections on both inlet and outlet is the documented construction for this regulator. The compact dimensions — 108 mm width, 162 mm height — make it suitable for installation in tight spaces such as instrument panels, wall-mounted distribution boards and bench-top laboratory gas supply units. The inlet pressure rating of 21 bar covers the standard reduced-pressure pipeline supply level.

The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof construction across the full low-pressure working range. The safety gauge provides on-unit pressure indication. The precision adjustment range of 0.01–0.6 bar is significantly narrower than standard low-pressure in-line regulators, making the LP 216-0.6 the correct choice for applications requiring accurate pressure setting in the sub-bar range.

The LP 216 series includes two variants: the LP 216-0.6 for the 0.01–0.6 bar range and the LP 216-1.6 for the wider 0.01–1.6 bar range. Both share the same body and connection standard, allowing either to be selected based on the specific outlet pressure requirement without changing the installation design.

Key Advantages

  • Very low outlet pressure range 0.01–0.6 bar for analytical instruments, calibration gas and sub-bar process applications.
  • Precision pressure adjustment in a compact aluminium/zinc die-cast body (108 × 162 mm).
  • 21 bar inlet rating compatible with standard reduced-pressure pipeline supply.
  • NBR diaphragm and G 3/8 RH connections for low-pressure precision gas service.
  • Safety gauge for on-unit pressure indication.
  • Helium-leak-proof with 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s.
  • Available for oxygen, CO₂/argon, helium, nitrogen, hydrogen and compressed air.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
