Description
The Vulkan L 10 is a single-stage in-line pressure regulator designed for technical gas pipeline distribution systems where a reliable, low-maintenance pressure reduction stage is required at 0–10 bar. With a 20 bar inlet pressure rating and up to 45 Nm³/h flow capacity, it covers the working range of standard laboratory and light industrial gas distribution headers, tapping point feed lines and process gas circuits in the 10 bar pressure class.
The brass body, EPDM diaphragm and G 1/2 RH connections on both inlet and outlet are the standard construction for this regulator. Safety gauges are specified to ISO 5171 for compliant pressure monitoring. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof assembly. The L 10 is available in gas-specific versions for oxygen, CO₂/argon, helium, nitrogen, hydrogen, compressed air and acetylene.
As a single-stage in-line regulator, the L 10 is the correct choice for installations where the inlet pressure is already at a reduced distribution level and a further controlled pressure reduction is needed at the pipeline branch or tapping point feed. It complements manifold regulators and cylinder pressure regulators in the downstream section of the gas supply chain.
The L 10 is part of the Vulkan in-line regulator range that spans from low-pressure single-stage models through double-stage designs to high-flow fin regulators, allowing system designers to select the correct pressure reduction stage at each point in a gas distribution network.
Key Advantages
- Single-stage design for straightforward in-line pressure reduction at 0–10 bar.
- 45 Nm³/h flow capacity for standard laboratory and light industrial distribution duties.
- 20 bar inlet rating suitable for reduced-pressure pipeline and tapping point feed applications.
- Brass body with EPDM diaphragm and G 1/2 RH connections.
- Safety gauges according to ISO 5171 for compliant pressure monitoring.
- Available for oxygen, CO₂/argon, helium, nitrogen, hydrogen, compressed air and acetylene.
- Helium-leak-proof with 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s leakage rate.
Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning
This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
