AM 55/300 K Effect Automatic Changeover Manifold

The VULKAN Modula AM 55/300 K Effect is the highest-capacity pneumatic automatic manifold in this series, designed for industrial users that need real reserve, not nominal automation. It delivers 250 Nm³/h at 28 bar outlet with automatic switching and V2A metal diaphragm for oxygen service.

Description

The VULKAN Modula AM 55/300 K Effect is built for plants where gas supply failure is not an inconvenience but a production problem. The assembly includes 2 manifold fin regulators HR 40 Effect, 1 automatic changeover block, 1 main shut-off valve and optional DIN EN 837-1 contact gauges, all installed on a stainless steel base plate. The catalog specifies 300 bar inlet pressure, 28 bar outlet pressure and up to 250 Nm³/h flow. For oxygen service, the diaphragm execution is listed as V2A metal diaphragm.

Unlike semi-automatic systems, which still leave part of the switching cycle dependent on operator action, the Modula automatic manifold platform is designed to switch from the depleted side to the full side automatically. That reduces intervention points, lowers the risk of timing errors during cylinder replacement and supports more stable process continuity in real production.

This model is the correct answer for larger industrial users that need high flow, higher pressure class and autonomous switching in one system. It is a serious manifold for serious load: large cylinder banks, bundle stations, central distribution lines and other high-demand plant supply points.

Key Advantages

  • Top-end mechanical capacity with up to 250 Nm³/h at 28 bar.
  • Automatic pneumatic changeover lowers interruption risk in high-demand service.
  • V2A metal diaphragm specification for oxygen service supports stronger technical positioning.
  • HR 40 Effect regulators suit heavy industrial gas distribution.
  • Modular base supports expansion and project-specific configuration.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This manifold can be positioned for food-gas projects when it is ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
