Description
The Vulkan LH400 is a robust single-stage diaphragm in-line regulator for pressure reduction in gas-carrying pipeline systems. Available with elastomer diaphragm or stainless steel diaphragm.
More flow capacity for demanding applications
With its G1 connection size and an output flow of up to approx. 468 m³/h compressed air under defined test conditions (P1 = 8 bar, P2 = 6 bar, Δp = 1 bar), the LH400 provides significantly more performance reserve than smaller in-line regulators in the series. This makes the LH400 particularly suitable for applications where a compact in-line regulator is required, but the gas demand exceeds typical standard applications.
Robust construction
Body: Brass CW617N / CuZn40Pb2, optionally chrome-plated. Integrated sintered filter CuSn10, 50 µm at inlet. Improved valve cone with protected sealing zone. The robust design makes the LH400 suitable for industrial pipeline systems, machine connections, test benches and gas distribution systems.
Installation-friendly sealing concept
G1 RH female threads at inlet and outlet with sealing surface at thread end for controlled sealing — for example with a suitable sealing edge ring. This makes the connection more reproducible and less dependent on manually applied sealing material. Mounting position: any. This allows flexible integration into existing systems, gas distribution panels, machine frames or service units.
Elastomer or metal diaphragm
Standard: elastomer diaphragm, suitable for many typical industrial applications with technical gases, compressed air and neutral gases (gas purity up to 4.5, depending on medium and operating conditions). Optional: stainless steel / metal diaphragm for increased requirements for gas purity and diffusion tightness; approval up to gas purity 5.0 after technical review of the specific application.
Suitable for food-grade gases in approved version
For applications with food-grade gases, the LH400 can be used in an approved version. This version complies with Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004, Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006 and LFGB and is suitable for contact with food-grade gases. Only with stainless steel diaphragm / metal diaphragm and approved version.
LH400 vs LH25 — which regulator fits your application?
The LH400 is the higher-performance version of the proven LH25 — more flow, wider pressure range, improved sealing concept and optional metal diaphragm for higher gas purity. Not sure which model fits your system? We put together a detailed comparison to help you decide.
