Description

The Vulkan Modula Vareo BS 120 is the top-capacity base station in the Modula Vareo series, equipped with an HR 60 Effect manifold fin regulator according to ISO 7291. At up to 450 Nm³/h at 60 bar, the BS 120 is designed for the most demanding central gas supply duties — large-scale industrial gas distribution headers, high-speed laser cutting installations with heavy assist gas demand, multi-point process gas supply networks and other applications where the combination of maximum flow rate and elevated outlet pressure is the defining system requirement.

The HR 60 Effect fin regulator delivers the Vulkan high-pressure compensation feature for consistent outlet pressure across the full 15–60 bar adjustment range as the cylinder pressure decreases. The stainless steel diaphragm for oxygen service provides material compatibility for all gas types, and the extended fin surface area of the HR-class regulator provides significantly better thermal management under high continuous flow operation than standard regulators.

The Modula Vareo distributing block integrates shut-off valves, non-return valves and sintered filters in a compact body mounted on a stainless steel base plate with a contact gauge and main shut-off valve. The system is fully expandable: additional manifold stations VS can be connected at any time to increase the number of cylinders or bundles feeding the station.

The BS 120 is available with an optional gas pre-heater GPH 200 or GPH 400. At 450 Nm³/h continuous flow and 60 bar outlet pressure, active gas pre-heating is strongly recommended to prevent regulator frosting, downstream condensation and temperature-sensitive process disruption.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This base station can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
