Vulkan Modula Vareo BS 270 (Base station, 300 bar)

The Vulkan Modula Vareo BS 270 is the highest-pressure base station in the Modula Vareo series, equipped with the LHR 300/200 BSP manifold and in-line regulator and delivering 15–270 bar adjustable outlet pressure up to 480 Nm³/h from 300 bar cylinder or bundle supply. Designed for extreme-pressure central gas supply installations.

Description

The Vulkan Modula Vareo BS 270 is the highest-pressure base station in the Modula Vareo series, extending the outlet working range of the BS 200 from 200 bar to 270 bar. It is designed for central gas supply installations where the downstream equipment requires near-cylinder pressure — including high-pressure gas charging stations, pressure cascade systems, high-pressure test rigs, specialty research installations and industrial processes where reducing the cylinder pressure at the manifold stage is not acceptable or appropriate.

The LHR 300/200 BSP manifold and in-line regulator with safety gauges according to ISO 5171 provides the correct pressure reduction architecture for this working range, offering outlet pressure steps at 270 bar, 200 bar and 100 bar depending on the downstream requirement. The EPDM piston diaphragm and PCTFE seals are specified for high differential pressure service, and the G 1/2 Rhi outlet connection is rated for the full pressure class.

The Modula Vareo distributing block integrates shut-off valves, non-return valves and sintered filters in a single compact body, completing the gas management functions within the base station footprint. The assembly mounts on a stainless steel base plate with a main shut-off valve and is expandable with additional manifold stations VS as part of the modular Vareo system.

The BS 270 is available with an optional gas pre-heater GPH 200 or GPH 400. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof construction. This is the correct station for gas supply projects where the manifold must deliver working pressure in the 270 bar class directly to the downstream system.

Key Advantages

  • 15–270 bar outlet range — the highest pressure class in the Modula Vareo base station series.
  • LHR 300/200 BSP regulator available in 270 bar, 200 bar and 100 bar outlet pressure steps.
  • Up to 480 Nm³/h capacity supports high-throughput near-cylinder-pressure supply duties.
  • EPDM piston diaphragm and PCTFE seals for reliable high differential pressure operation.
  • Safety gauges according to ISO 5171 for compliant pressure monitoring at extreme pressures.
  • Modular Vareo add-on platform: expandable with manifold stations VS.
  • Optional gas pre-heater GPH 200 or GPH 400; leakage rate 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This base station can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
