Description
The Vulkan LH 119-1 is a single-stage in-line pressure regulator designed for technical gas pipeline systems where high flow rate and low outlet pressure must be combined in a single compact regulator. With up to 150 Nm³/h at 1.8 bar outlet pressure from 21 bar inlet, the LH 119-1 is suited to high-flow low-pressure distribution headers, tapping point bars, gas mixing and blending systems and other applications where the required flow rate significantly exceeds what precision low-pressure regulators such as the LP 216 series can deliver.
The zinc die-cast and brass body construction with NBR diaphragm and G 1/2 RH connections provides a compact installation footprint — 90 mm width, 175 mm height — while maintaining the structural integrity needed for the 21 bar inlet pressure class. The 0.2–1.8 bar outlet pressure range covers the working pressure of most low-pressure industrial gas distribution networks, torch manifold feeds and tapping point supply systems.
For oxygen service, the maximum inlet pressure is reduced to 10 bar as a safety specification for oxidising media at the low-pressure diaphragm construction level. The safety gauge provides on-unit pressure indication. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof construction.
The LH 119-1 fills the gap between precision low-pressure regulators and high-flow compact in-line models, providing the highest flow capacity in the sub-2-bar outlet class within the Vulkan in-line regulator range. For applications requiring flow capacity below 45 Nm³/h at similar pressure levels, the LP 216 series provides finer pressure resolution in a smaller package.
Key Advantages
- Up to 150 Nm³/h at 1.8 bar — highest flow capacity in the Vulkan sub-2-bar in-line regulator class.
- Combines high flow capacity with precise 0.2–1.8 bar low-pressure outlet control.
- Compact zinc die-cast/brass body (90 × 175 mm) for installation in space-constrained positions.
- Suitable for high-flow low-pressure distribution headers, tapping point bars and gas blending systems.
- G 1/2 RH connections for standard industrial pipeline integration.
- Safety gauge included; helium-leak-proof with 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s.
- Oxygen service: maximum 10 bar inlet pressure.
Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning
This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
