LabLine Pipeline Pressure Regulators for Laboratory & Laser Gases L15/2 LL

The VULKAN LabLine L15/2 LL is a double-stage chrome-plated in-line pressure regulator for low-pressure laboratory and laser gas pipeline systems. The two-stage design provides enhanced outlet pressure stability at the 0–1.5 bar range, with stainless steel diaphragm and clamp ring 8 mm connections for high-purity applications.

Description

The VULKAN LabLine L15/2 LL is a double-stage in-line pipeline pressure regulator from the LabLine high-purity range, covering the 0–1.5 bar outlet pressure class with enhanced stability. The double-stage architecture reduces inlet pressure to working pressure in two steps, which reduces outlet pressure droop and provides more consistent downstream conditions compared to a single-stage regulator — a relevant difference in precision analytical, laser and research applications where pressure stability directly affects measurement or process quality.

The L15/2 LL operates at up to 20 bar inlet pressure and delivers up to 8 Nm³/h flow at 1.5 bar outlet. The chrome-plated brass body passes through vibratory finishing cleaning to below 100 mg/m² surface fat content. The stainless steel diaphragm and clamp ring 8 mm connections on both sides keep contamination risk at laboratory-grade level. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof construction. Safety gauges are to ISO 5171.

The LabLine range is manufactured to DIN, EN and ISO standards and meets PED and DGUV requirements. This gives the L15/2 LL a traceable compliance basis for laboratory gas infrastructure specification, validation and documentation.

The L15/2 LL is compatible with Vulkan LabLine Alu-Line 3/8 tapping point bars and clamp ring outlet tapping point regulators, enabling validated low-pressure laboratory distribution networks from a documented, standards-compliant component base.

Key Advantages

  • Double-stage design improves outlet pressure stability at the 0–1.5 bar working range.
  • Chrome-plated brass body with vibratory finishing for surface fat content below 100 mg/m².
  • Stainless steel diaphragm for high-purity gas service up to grade 5.0.
  • Clamp ring 8 mm connections on both sides for clean laboratory piping.
  • Helium-leak-proof with 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s leakage rate; gauges to ISO 5171.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
