Vulkan Modula Vareo BS 200 (Base station, 300 bar)

The Vulkan Modula Vareo BS 200 is a high-pressure base station for 300 bar cylinder and bundle manifold systems, equipped with the LHR 300/200 BSP manifold and in-line regulator and delivering 15–200 bar adjustable outlet pressure up to 480 Nm³/h. Designed for central gas supply installations where a high downstream working pressure must be maintained.

Description

The Vulkan Modula Vareo BS 200 is a high-pressure base station from the Modula Vareo series, designed for central gas supply systems where the downstream circuit requires working pressure in the range of 15–200 bar — significantly above the standard distribution pressure of conventional manifold stations. The LHR 300/200 BSP manifold and in-line regulator is a single-stage regulator with safety gauges according to ISO 5171, available in three outlet pressure steps: 270 bar, 200 bar and 100 bar, making the BS 200 suitable for cascade supply systems, high-pressure process gas headers and specialty installations where the cylinder pressure must be delivered at near-cylinder pressure to the downstream system.

The Modula Vareo distributing block integrates shut-off valves, non-return valves and sintered filters in a compact body. For oxygen service, the BS 200 catalog specifies flow direction from right to left as a technical installation note. The assembly mounts on a stainless steel base plate with a main shut-off valve and G 1/2 Rhi outlet connection. The EPDM piston diaphragm and PCTFE seals are suited to the high differential pressure requirements of the 200 bar outlet range.

The BS 200 is part of the modular Vareo add-on system and can be expanded with additional manifold stations VS. The high inlet-to-outlet pressure differential across this station makes it relevant for installations that supply high-pressure equipment directly from cylinders without a separate pressure reduction stage, including autoclaves, high-pressure test rigs, gas charging stations and specialty process gas circuits.

The BS 200 is available with an optional gas pre-heater GPH 200 or GPH 400, and the leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof construction across the full working range.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This base station can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
