Description
The VULKAN LabLine L20/2 LL is a double-stage in-line pipeline pressure regulator from the LabLine high-purity range, combining wide outlet pressure adjustment range with the stability advantage of two-stage pressure reduction. The double-stage design reduces inlet pressure in two controlled steps, limiting outlet pressure droop under variable flow conditions and providing more consistent downstream pressure — a relevant performance factor in laser cutting, analytical instrumentation and precision laboratory process environments.
The L20/2 LL operates at up to 20 bar inlet pressure and provides adjustable outlet pressure across the full 0–20 bar working range. The chrome-plated brass body is cleaned by vibratory finishing to below 100 mg/m² surface fat content. Stainless steel diaphragm and clamp ring 8 mm connections on both inlet and outlet ensure low contamination across the wetted path. The leakage rate of 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s confirms helium-leak-proof assembly. Safety gauges are to ISO 5171.
The LabLine range is designed and manufactured to DIN, EN and ISO standards and meets the requirements of the PED and DGUV rules. The L20/2 LL is a traceable, standards-compliant component for laboratory gas infrastructure projects where two-stage pressure stability is specified at the installation or validation level.
The L20/2 LL is fully compatible with Vulkan LabLine Alu-Line 3/8 tapping point bars and LabLine clamp ring tapping point regulators, supporting complete validated high-purity laboratory gas distribution networks.
Key Advantages
- Double-stage design improves outlet pressure stability across the full 0–20 bar working range.
- Chrome-plated brass body with vibratory finishing for surface fat content below 100 mg/m².
- Stainless steel diaphragm supports high-purity gas service up to grade 5.0.
- Clamp ring 8 mm connections on both sides for clean laboratory piping integration.
- Helium-leak-proof construction with 1 × 10⁻⁶ mbar l/s leakage rate; gauges to ISO 5171.
Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning
This regulator can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
