Multiple Distributor Vulcan Alu-Line ST 3/8

The VULKAN Alu-Line ST 3/8 is a multiple tapping point distributor bar for shipyard, workshop and industrial gas distribution systems. Mounted on an aluminium profile, it accepts between 2 and 10 individual tapping point outlets at 85 mm centre spacing, with a built-in block ball valve, individual shut-off valves per outlet and G 3/8 RH or LH outlet connections for oxygen, acetylene, fuel gases, inert gases, propane and compressed air.

Description

The VULKAN Alu-Line ST 3/8 is the shipyard-class version of the Vulkan Alu-Line tapping point distributor system, engineered for high-density multi-outlet gas supply on aluminium bar profiles. The system consists of a continuous aluminium bar with a central distributing pipe and block ball valve, onto which individual tapping point positions are spaced at 85 mm centres. Each outlet is equipped with its own shut-off valve, and the G 3/8 RH or LH outlet connections are gas-specific to eliminate cross-connection risk during installation and operation. The inlet accepts G 1/2 RH connections for assemblies with up to 2 outlets, and G 3/4 RH for larger assemblies with more than 2 connections.

The pressure rating is PN 40 for oxygen, fuel gases, inert gases, propane and compressed air, and PN 1.5 for acetylene in compliance with acetylene-specific safety requirements. Available outlet counts run from 2 to 10 tapping points per bar, making the ST 3/8 suitable for both compact two-station workbench setups and larger multi-berth shipyard installations that require a single feed point to supply multiple simultaneous users.

The aluminium profile construction keeps the assembly lightweight without sacrificing rigidity. The block ball valve on the main inlet provides a single isolation point for the entire distributor, while the individual shut-off valves at each outlet give operators independent control over each tapping position. This combination is commercially relevant for shipyard environments where work areas are served by different trades simultaneously and where the ability to isolate individual outlets without shutting down the whole bar is an operational requirement.

Each tapping point position on the ST 3/8 is designed to accept a Vulkan E 10 or compatible tapping point regulator with G 3/8 inlet connection, allowing the bar to be configured as a complete regulated gas supply station or as a raw distribution point depending on the installation design. The system is available for all six gas families in standardised article number format with consistent two-to-ten outlet scaling.

Food-Gas / Compliance Positioning

This product can be positioned for food-gas projects when ordered with the appropriate wetted materials, elastomers, cleanliness level and documentation package. Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 defines the basic requirement that materials in contact with food must not transfer substances in quantities that could endanger health or unacceptably change the composition or organoleptic properties of food. Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 adds GMP requirements for controlled manufacturing processes. In Germany, LFGB is part of the legal framework used for control of food-contact materials and articles.
